Ridgeview's Stephanie Lovdokken Awarded Grant for Talented and Gifted Program
Ridgeview fifth grade teacher Stephanie Lovdokken has been awarded a grant from the Oregon Association for Talented and Gifted (OATAG). In addition to teaching fifth grade, Mrs. Lovdokken serves as the Springfield Public Schools District TAG Coordinator.
The $2,000 grant will be used by Mrs. Lovdokken to continue working on a state Specialization in Talented and Gifted Education. Students who have been identified as needing additional instruction by the District because of their advanced level of learning benefit from educators who have earned this qualification, according to a OATAG press release announcing the award.
The grant was funded by a donor-advised program at the Oregon Community Foundation and was evaluated by an OATAG committee, says the organization. OATAG goes on to congratulate Lovdokken for submitting a strong application.
OATAG president Margaret DeLacy called Lovdokken's application "thoughtful."
Congratulations to Stephanie Lovdokken!
